David focuses on government finance law, economic development and state tax incentive law, financial institutions law, government relations, securities law and corporate matters. Additionally, he represents issuers and underwriters in connection with the issuance of government securities.David has served as lead bond counsel to the New Mexico State Board of Finance, the New Mexico Finance Authority and the University of New Mexico and continues to serve in that capacity for the City of Albuquerque. He counsels private businesses and governments in a variety of matters pertaining to growth, corporate governance affairs and government relations. David's prestigious career includes serving as consultant for the New Mexico State Economic Development Department under Secretaries Homans, John Garcia, Bratcher, Dendahl and William Garcia. He has advised numerous clients on public finance and economic development matters.Prior to joining the firm, David worked for many years at Sutin, Thayer & Browne where he served as president and CEO from 1994 to 1997. He was also a senior member of that firm's Commercial Practice Group and a member of its Board of Directors. From 1976 to 1981, he practiced with the Philadelphia law firm of Wolf, Block, Schorr and Solis-Cohen in its securities and municipal bond department.David has served as the state chairman of the New Mexico Association of Commerce and Industry (where he was elected a lifetime board member), New Mexico First, Enchantment Land Certified Development Company and the New Mexico Hospital Equipment Loan Council. He is a founding director of Think New Mexico. David currently serves on the boards of the Albuquerque Bar Association, WESST Corporation, Think New Mexico and the New Mexico Advanced Placement Initiative. He is the State Chairman of the New Mexico Anti- Defamation League and a member of the National Commission of the Anti- Defamation League.
