About David
David Alli is a labour and employment lawyer in Hicks Morley’s Toronto office. He advises employers on a variety of labour and employment issues, with a particular focus on wrongful dismissal defence litigation, human rights and accommodation matters. David also regularly works with clients to implement policies and strategies to maintain and develop healthy, respectful workplaces.As an experienced advocate, David has successfully represented clients in appellate proceedings, wrongful dismissal litigation, human rights applications, Ministry of Labour complaints and labour grievances. He also provides daily advice to clients to assist with legal compliance and strategy.David is a member of the firm’s Litigation, Human Rights, Municipal, Employment Equity, and Financial Practice Groups.In his spare time David is an Ontario Bar Association member of council and has served as a director and second vice-president with the Peel Law Association. David has been a member of the teaching team of the “Lawyer as Negotiator” course at Osgoode Hall Law School and regularly presented on negotiation and cognitive bias.
