About Eric
Eric DeJong, a partner in the firm’s Business practice, focuses his practice on public offerings and corporate finance, securities regulation, corporate governance and mergers and acquisitions. Eric regularly advises public companies on SEC reporting and compliance, disclosure matters and best corporate governance practices, and has a broad range of securities offering experience, including initial and follow-on public offerings, and PIPE financings. Eric also has extensive mergers and acquisitions experience, including representation of both buyers and sellers in public-to-public, private-to-public, private-to-private and private equity transactions. In addition, Eric represents private companies in venture capital and other private financing transactions and general corporate and business matters. A frequent speaker and writer on corporate law topics, Eric is co-author of the leading treatise on Washington corporate law, Washington Business Entities: Law and Forms (2010), a contributor to The Initial Public Offering handbook: A Guide for Entrepreneurs, Executives, Directors and Private Investors (2008) and a contributor to The Public Company Handbook: A Corporate Governance and Disclosure Guide for Directors and Executives (2006). Eric is a long-time member and current co-chair of the Corporate Act Revision Committee of the Washington State Bar Association's Business Law Section, which is responsible for considering and proposing changes to the Washington Business Corporation Act.
