Eric Brenner is an associate in Nixon Peabody’s Project Finance and Public Finance group, serving a wide variety of clients, including financial institutions, issuers, underwriters, and borrowers on taxable and tax-exempt public finance transactions.My focusI strive to serve my clients with efficient and forward looking strategies in all facets of public finance and project finance with a constant focus on overarching client objectives and needs. I represent a wide variety of clients on complex financings. This includes due diligence reviews for compliance with state, local, and federal laws, and researching, drafting, and reviewing documents to assist clients with successfully closing a transaction. I also represent industrial development agencies, completing due diligence reviews and drafting transaction documents to assist with various economic development projects, which include sales tax abatements, mortgage recording tax exemptions, and payment-in-lieu of tax agreements.My experience also includes representing financial institutions in bilateral and syndicated credit facilities, receivables financings, construction loans, and the issuance of letters of credit. I have been actively involved in a broad range of financings, including projects financed for nonprofit entities such as colleges and hospitals.Looking aheadI will continue to actively monitor and analyze the changing landscape that clients face in complex financing transactions, including the additional challenges brought by the COVID-19 pandemic. Looking ahead, I am focused on maximizing client goals by capturing opportunities through effective and efficient strategies.
