About Mark
Mark Bains represents clients in a variety of real estate matters including acquisitions and dispositions, leasing, and zoning and land use matters. In addition, Mark focuses his practice on various types of real estate litigation, including disputes related to purchase agreements, lease agreements, and eminent domain actions. Mark also handles construction law matters, where he represents residential and commercial contractors in the process of negotiating and drafting construction contracts, mechanic’s lien preparations and foreclosures, contract disputes, defective workmanship claims, and collection actions.Mark obtained a bachelor degree, cum laude, from Wabash College, where he was awarded a Presidential Scholarship and the Irwin-Garrard Award. He obtained his J.D., cum laude, from Indiana University Maurer School of Law, Bloomington. Mark is a member of the board of directors for Emmanuel St. Michael Lutheran School and previously served on the board of directors for Habitat for Humanity of Greater Fort Wayne and Young Leaders of Northeast Indiana (“YLNI”).Mark and his wife, Erin, live in Fort Wayne with their son, Jack, and daughter, Emma. In his free time, He enjoys traveling, coaching youth sports, golfing, and spending time with his family and friends. Mark is admitted to practice before the Indiana state courts and the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts.
