A member of the Board of the North Shore Neighbourhood House and a regular volunteer with the Access Pro Bono and Salvation Army legal programs, Peter was a co-founder of the CoRe (Conflict Resolution) Clinic at UBC, which provides low-cost mediation services for people in the community who would otherwise not be able to afford them. He is also Adjunct Faculty and an Instructor at the Pacific Coast University for Workplace Health Sciences.
