About Walt
Walt Terry is special counsel in the Tax Practice Group. Prior to joining Jones Walker, Walt drafted wills, trusts, and estate planning documents, and helped clients with probate and estate administration. He also assisted a range of business clients with formation, dissolution, mergers and acquisitions, and many other corporate transactions. While in law school, Walt served as a site coordinator for the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program (VITA) and as a legal intern for the Mississippi Secretary of State’s Public Lands Division, where he drafted memoranda and conducted research. Prior to beginning his legal career, Walt worked in multiple public accounting firms in the areas of tax preparation and auditing.
